Import Export Utility |
| Following an install at Oslo Kommune, Norway we are pleased to announce a new tool for importing and exporting XML (Extended Markup Language) data into and out of Arbortrack. |
 |
| Settings: Allows a user to select which areas
to import and export, Map Datum to use and whether to use the integrated
Boundaries used within Arbortrack. |
| All settings can all be saved automatically so the utility can be ran in batch, daily, weekly or monthly. |
| |
 |
| Import: A user selects which XML file to import
and then the dataset to use. Once this is loaded, columns in the XML file
can be matched to Arbortrack fields. |
| A Unique ID can be chosen from your GIS data so that existing trees can be updated from your
corporate systems, on initial testing in Oslo, 80000 trees were imported from their park data. No problem! |
| |
|
 |
| Export: Specify an XML file to create.
Choose whether Maintenance and Requirements will be exported and which
Species type will be exported. |
| |
|
| Sample Data |
|
| Click here for a sample of XML data exported from Rugby Borough Council. It has been trimmed to show just three trees and their associated Inventory, Maintenance and Work Requirements. |
