Backend Data Storage |
| We like to give our
users a choice, but only if this means dependability. For this
reason we have chosen SQL Server OR Microsoft Access as data storage for
within Arbortrack. |
 |
Microsoft SQL Server has been around
for many years, and has a proven track record as the database of choice
for large organisations. Costs can be prohibitive to smaller companies. |
|
|
 |
Similarly, Microsoft Access has been
on the market since 1992. Up until the version that shipped with Office
95, its reliability was questionable, however, it has a good track
record for smaller companies. |
| We also have many data
manipulation tools. Shapefiles can be created for use within your
corporate GIS, as can Mapinfo tables. We have a comprehensive XML Import
and Export tool, see here for more details. |
